What browsers are supported?

All modern browsers work-Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.

Why are image files larger than other sites?

We store images exactly as sourced without lossy re-encoding. This preserves original quality but means larger file sizes. Enable Data Saver in settings if you have bandwidth concerns.

What do the user roles mean?

Administrator

Moderator - Community moderation and content management.

Editor - Can edit series metadata and information.

Trusted Uploader - Uploaders we deem to have made significant contributions.

Uploader - Can upload new series and chapters.

Supporter - Users who have supported Kagane through donations.

How do I become an Uploader?

Please refer to the instructions on the Request Upload Permissions page.

How do I become a Trusted Uploader?

You don't ask-we'll approach you when it's time.

What does "Internal" mean on a release?

Internal releases are sourced by us.

Why is my donation not showing in the progress bar?

The donation bar is updated periodically. It may take some time for your contribution to be verified and added.

How do I report an issue with a chapter?

Use the report button (flag icon) on any chapter's menu to submit a report to the staff team.

If you made a mistake in a chapter you uploaded: report the chapter asking for deletion, and hide the release from the chapter edit menu. Staff will handle the rest.

Is there a mobile app?

No, but the site can be installed as a PWA (Progressive Web App) on most devices.
